How to Record Audio (Window Vista & 7)

This tutorial, which contains two parts, will show you some details on how to record audio in Windows Vista & Windows 7 system.

Part one: How to record audio from PC.
Part two: How to record audio from Microphone.

Part one: How to record audio from PC

Step 1: Open PCHand Screen Recorder, Click ‘Audio’. This is the most basic step of record setting.

Step 2: Click ‘Volume Control’ to start the setting and this window will pop-up. Then right-click to select these two options at the same time: ‘Show Disabled Devices’ and ‘Show Disconnected Devices’.

Step 3: If Stereo Mix is not available, you should enable it. Just right-click ‘Stereo Mix’ to select ‘Enable’ option. (Notice: If ‘Enable’ option is not available, you need to install the Audio Driver)

Step 4: Press ‘Set Default’ to specify ‘Stereo Mix’ as default device. Now, you can record audio from PC.

Part two: How to record audio from Microphone.

Step 1: Do steps 1-2 of part one.

Step 2: Just select ‘Microphone’ as default device to record audio from Microphone.
