How to Record Audio (Windows XP)

This tutorial, which contains four parts, will show you how to check it out Step-by-step.

Part one: How to set the basic record parameters.

Part two: How to record the audio from PC.

Part three: How to record the audio from Microphone.

Part four: How to record the audio from both PC and Microphone.

 

Part one: How to set the basic record parameters

This part is the most basic step of record setting.

Step 1: Open PCHand Screen Recorder, Click ‘Audio’.

 Step 2Click ‘Volume Control’ to start the setting and this window will pop-up.

Step 3: if any one of the options above does not display in the Recording Control, for example, ‘Stereo Mix’, just carry out the operations following: Click ’Options’ to choose ‘Properties’.

 

Step 4: Select the ‘Stereo Mix’ option, and then click ‘OK’; you will find that it will display in the Recording Control.

Part two: How to record the audio from PC.

Step 1: Do the steps 1-4 of part one.

Step 2: Select ‘CD Volume’, ‘Mic Volume’ and ‘Line Volume’ options at the same time as following, then you can record any audio from your PC.

Part three: How to record the audio from Microphone.

Step 1: Do the steps 1-4 of part one.

Step 2: Select ‘CD Volume’, ‘Line Volume’ and ‘Stereo Mix’ options at the same time as following, then you can record the sound of the speakers from your microphone.

Part four: How to record both.

Step 1: Do the steps 1-4 of part one.

Step 2: Select ‘CD Volume’ and ‘Mic Volume’ options at the same time as following, then you can record the audio both from PC and Microphone.
